Updated: Aug 1, 2021

As I began to pray over the chapters in Nehemiah the Lord revealed to me these things.Courage and the willingness to fight any how!

Morning Prayer

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21)

Dear Lord God I humbly come before you this morning with thanksgiving. Thanking you for waking me this morning and granting another day to carry out your will for my life.I ask Lord that you keep me, protect my going out and coming in. Bless this home OH God and please protect all that dwell, give me your favor with the landlord, the mortgage company, the job, and school. Give me wisdom today to act, think and speak with discretion using your wisdom, understanding and knowledge. Thank you in the Almighty name of your son Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Courage and Prayer in the midst of the storm

As I began to pray over the chapters in Nehemiah the Lord revealed to me these things. Courage the willingness to go when your being mocked, and it appears all odds are against you. The second revelation was restoration, today we will focus on Courage.

Nehemiah (Chapter 4) the King Sanballat heard that they were building the wall, He was mad and began to mock the Jews. He said they are doing what? out of the ruins! He thought they were not able to do this it was funny to him. Nehemiah continued to build the wall anyway, with no reservation despite of what was being said, or done. Nehemiah tells us that when Sanballat, Tobiah, Arabians, Ammonites and Ashdodites heard that the wall was built they sought to tear it down and kill them.

Out of faith, no fear! Nehemiah turned to the Lord and set watch against them day and night, he set complete coverage! In the high places, low places and even set families with swords, spears, and bows. In other words, He was covered and ready to fight for his time, talent, and effort for rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem.

Covered

I see where I need to be covered; How I do this is by being armed with the sword and shield of the awesome almighty God of the heavens and the earth. To apply this to my daily life I need to study the word and pray. Out of the word come wisdoms to fight against the people and situations, being used and manipulated by wicked sprits in our lives set up to destroy our time, talent, purpose, and dreams.

We have supervisors that attempt to try to tear down our personal wall, friends and family that try to destroy our confidence and mock us when we make certain decisions to do or not to do something. Church folk that mocks us when we begin to prepare for ministries that God has given us and the list goes on….

How do we fight? the same way Nehemiah fought “the Bible says that Nehemiah turned to God in prayer! do this daily.

Prayer For Today

“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness:”

When you feel like nothing is going right and everything you have worked for seems lost. Take a moment do not fear, do not get angry, or troubled. Go to God in prayer and heed instruction from His servant Nehemiah arm yourself with the word and watch God take care of the battle. Amen thank you God for another day turning this thing around.

Prayer for the Day:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for your word. Your word is healing, your word is restoring and comforting. You said that we as your children do not need to be concerned about what we eat or what we drink, for you take care of the birds, who do nothing. How much more will you take care of us?

In our trials Lord please cover us as you covered Nehemiah, give us strength and courage to do what you called us to do. Give us the willingness to trust you and the task you have set before us. Help us know that we are more than equipped to do all that you have given. Help us realize that this battle is not ours to fight, but you Father have already won it. You know, our going out and coming in, you know everything about us, the past, present and future.

Help us understand the power of prayer! Prayer is our communication with you. Help us realize that if we choose not to pray and communicate with you. We cause our relationship with you to suffer and just like any other relationship, you must communicate, to have a relationship! Help, us oh God to be mindful that we need to take the time to spend with you to nourish our relationship, and open the lines of communication, so that our prayers will be heard, and we will be completely covered with our entire armor.

Bless us this day, heal us this day, comfort us this day and restore us this day I pray in the mighty name of your son Jesus the Christ amen and amen.
