Morning Glory: Wisdom

Updated: Oct 26, 2021

This is a beautiful day the Lord God of the Heavens has blessed us all to see. What a blessing it is to have a mind and the ability to make decisions with the freedom to choose our path today.

Dear Heavenly Father, the God who formed the heavens, the one who spoke, and the worlds were made and the only one who with one breath and his delicate hands formed man and infused him with life.

Morning Prayer (Proverbs 2: 9-11)

Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

Morning Worship

Today I give thanks for all that has happened in my life the good, the bad, and trying times that have brought me to this day. I pray today for wisdom to be able to not react emotionally to challenges that come, but approach each challenge with calmness and know without reservation that you are in control and there is nothing you can not handle. Help me this day not be a hindrance to your will for my life.

Your word says that when I receive your word and hide your commandments in my heart this will cause my ears to hear wisdom and the ability to apply your understanding in every aspect of my life. Then I will fear the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

Your word says that it is the Lord who gives wisdom and out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding. You are my buckler help me to walk uprightly. You keep my paths of judgment and preserve my way. When I apply your principles then I will understand righteousness and judgment, equity, and every good path. When wisdom enters my heart and knowledge is pleasant unto my soul. It is understood that discretion shall preserve me, and understanding shall keep me.

Proverbs The Book of Wisdom

The Lord God instructed Solomon

We see how the Lord God instructed Solomon concerning wisdom. The bible says that Solomon was given wisdom because he asked for wisdom to judge God’s people. Solomon the son of King David was a child when he was given the House of King David. He knew nothing and certainly did not know how to manage a Kingdom. He married pharaoh’s daughter and built a home at the end of the house of Pharaoh.

Solomon cried out to the Lord God in quest for knowledge he said to God in 1 Kings 3 :7” And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of David my father, although I am but a little child. I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, too many to be numbered or counted for multitude. 9 Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?”

The word of God says that this pleased the Lord because Solomon did not ask for riches, but he asked for wisdom to govern correctly. God granted Solomon wisdom and with that wisdom Solomon would be reported in history as the wealthiest and wisest King of all.

Now that we understand how vital wisdom is: It is my prayer that God bestow on us wisdom. For by wisdom, understanding will bless us with discretion. Discretion meaning circumspection the ability to not take unnecessary risks like gambling, doing tasks or speaking without thinking, spending money we do not have, or foolishly committing to something that we are not able to do.

As we face day to day challenges, we must use care. We use care by giving every challenge the serious attention or consideration that is applied to doing and making the correct choice by avoiding things, people and situations that will cause damage or risk to ourselves or others. Govern your thoughts and speech! Say what God says only and leave the madness out!

Thank you, God, my Father, my Friend.

We are covenant sons and daughters of the Lord God Almighty of the Heavens. We may not always make the right choice. But the wisdom comes when you do not stay there! God will forgive, turn from your wicked ways using wisdom, understanding encompassed with the knowledge of God. As we go about our day remember that

In all your ways acknowledge God and He will direct your path.

Prior to doing anything ask yourself is it of God, does it destroy or build up, does it complete or discredit, does it honor or dishonor God and above all get understanding. Discretion will preserve you and understanding shall keep you. Be forever blessed.

Task for today cleanse your mind, clean your home, remove the clutter, write down all debt and analysis how to remove debt from your life.
